Winter Holiday Fashion Poor qualityI've worn these twice, mostly indoors and a short time on city sidewalks. The inner toe lining chipped off. I doubt this is a 'return-able' reason. Very disappointed as I love the appearance and the fit. Published 4 months ago by Deborah A. Donofrio ?
I'm not an outdoorsman, a runner, or a hiker. I am an active 21 year old, though. Whether at work or at school, I am on my feet a good portion of the day and walk constantly. In the past I have always worn athletic shoes because they are lightweight and comfortable. The problem is that they are typically mesh around the toes, and I have proven to be too hard on them...the toes always go out on me first. My last pair of Saucony's wore a hole right through the mesh on the both shoes at the piggy toe, and the big toe side was shredding apart also. As far back as my feet have stopped growing (maybe 5 years), I haven't had a pair of shoes last more than a year of everyday use before falling apart in one way or another.I will be honest: I haven't had these shoes for very long yet, so I can't say for sure that they will outlive my past sneakers. But the build of the materials seems extremely durable, and they show no signs of any wear after working on my feet almost every day for a month. There is no mesh at the toe-box but is instead a heavy suede-like material. There is also a rubber support that wraps along the toe-box just above the sole, providing extra strength to the shoe's frame. What mesh there is, is very heavy duty and is towards the middle of the foot where very little wear-and-tear on the shoe takes place.Smaller things go this shoes way as well. The designers and company clearly care about the durability and quality of their shoes. The cloth along the back of the heel seems strong yet comfortable. It shoes no signs of ripping even though I don't always loosen my laces before putting my feet in or taking them out. (Some past, cheaper shoes always ripped at that spot on the back of the heel). The laces are also well made and strong. They happen to be the perfect length for a double knot as well, where most shoes I've had were either too short or two long laces. As others have said, this shoe runs small. I'm a size 8.5 normally, but ordered a 10 and it fits perfect! One other thing: the insole seems to be a bit flat. I added a heel/arch support in mine because when I first started working in these shoes my arches became sore. Adding a $3 support made all the difference. Now it is a perfectly comfortable fit. These shoes make a great pair of lightweight hiking shoes, too. They do not let in water and soak your feet like sneakers do, and they won't tear up if the sides of the shoe rub against some rocks or anything. The only thing I wouldn't wear these shoes for is sports. While they are not heavy by any means, I don't think they are quite flexible and nimble enough for me when I play racketball or basketball. This is my first pair of Tevas and probbaly not my last. Way to go! Two thumbs up =D
Winter Holiday Fashion Fitbit Wireless Activity/Sleep Tracker, Black/Blue (Sports) I have been compelled by my FitBit to take the long way EVERYWHERE. I am on the second floor of my office, and I travel down to the basement to travel up three flights of stairs to go to the bathroom. when I am finished, I travel back down to the basement and back up to the second floor to my desk. I do an "afternoon lap" in my building to bump up my numbers. This includes a trek up 10 flights of stairs, a zig-zag through four different departments, and sometimes a walk outside to the other side of the block and back.If you get a FitBit, you will have no choice but to where it as if it were a vital organ. your every move will be made to accelerate your calorie burning. You will not be able to stay still. You will walk in place "just because". If you don't lose weight, or at least gain lung capacity, then you didn't buy a FitBit. You probably bought a toy robot cockroach. I've been sitting too long to write this. The FitBit taunts me! I must go!!!!!
